On my drive home tonight I wondered how long it has been since my last post. Nearly a fortnight. It's been a busy month with viists from three family members, kitchen upgrade projects, yard spruce-ups, and working through the intricacies of home refinancing. Plus, the weather's improved dramatically, which means we all want to be outside more--Joe on his bike, Jonas at the park, and me somwhere in between with a coffee or my new drink of choice, a mojito, in hand.
Still, I'm missing writing. I have some fun updates as well as some ramblings, to post. You'll see them soon. Happy spring!!
Here's Jonas with his grandmother during her recent visit. We went to the park, where Jonas tried to hand her every stone in sight.
I began this blog in 2007 to chronicle the adventure of my first pregnancy. "Waiting for Baby V." served mostly as a fun way to update friends and family. I had no plans for keeping it up after the baby arrived, however, I found that I loved writing the posts and hearing readers' thoughts and reactions.
Nearly two years later, I changed the name to "A Day in the Life with Baby V". It's chapter 2 of the blog. While Chapter 1 was all about anticipation, this chapter is about living each day, in the moment, because every day is precious. You won't find a specific focus here, but rather a smattering of random things--updates, photos, observations and the occasional rambling. It's the story of a mother of a one-year old who strives each day to strike a balanced life in motherhood, marriage, career and fitness.
