It's awe-inspiring how fast kids learn. This week, Jonas figured out how to stand up. Sunday, we watched in disbelief as he finagled his way to standing from kneeling by the bathtub. He's been working at this for months. It took him a few minutes to pull it off, but he did it. Then, Monday he did it on six times. Daycare reported on Tuesday that he was tried to stand every opportunity that he got. By Thursday, he's a pro--up in seconds.
Hmm, what do we have here?
The look of raw determination. Hmm, wonder where he gets that from.
I began this blog in 2007 to chronicle the adventure of my first pregnancy. "Waiting for Baby V." served mostly as a fun way to update friends and family. I had no plans for keeping it up after the baby arrived, however, I found that I loved writing the posts and hearing readers' thoughts and reactions.
Nearly two years later, I changed the name to "A Day in the Life with Baby V". It's chapter 2 of the blog. While Chapter 1 was all about anticipation, this chapter is about living each day, in the moment, because every day is precious. You won't find a specific focus here, but rather a smattering of random things--updates, photos, observations and the occasional rambling. It's the story of a mother of a one-year old who strives each day to strike a balanced life in motherhood, marriage, career and fitness.
